I was a good old Barnes Girl from 1956-60. (although not according to all the teachers') Enjoyed every minute of it.
Living in Israel since 1981. Love every minute of it. Oh how I enjoyed Mrs Appleyard's English Lit and History lessons. Am in touch with Shirley Brown and Lesley Miles and through F.U several others. Sister Marion keeps me in touch with all the gen. Glad to see you have a site, enjoying it for the first time. Good Luck all!

we live in australia now.my mother and sister went to this school.i was born in 1955.she was 16 then.so not long left school.her name was ann elisebeth hardy and her sister was jean.do you have anything of them in any way there photo just anything ,my aunty jean reconises most of the teachers.wow this is fantastic

Hello Toyin Kapo, I tried to email you, but it bounces back! I wonder if you have typed in your correct address? However, I just wanted to say that your sister is not a member of BOGs, but I will place your message on our letters section in our BOGs Magazine next issue 1st April no.31). I'm looking for help to track dowm my sister Tayo Kapo Akappo who attended Barnes Girls along with my other sister Keji Kapo or Akappo betweem 1964-1967 me thinks I to went there in 1969 after the amalgamation af the three schools I was at Mortlake I know she was tought by Mrs Appleyard so was I the lady crops up everywhere in my family history GRHS This is a big SOS please help if you can Many thanks in advance
